Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 20 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in process engineering, process safety, and hazard analysis.
• Expertise in energetic manufacturing processes preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical evaluations on hazard analysis projects associated with energetics research and manufacturing.
• Plan and execute PHAs, PrHAs, JHAs, LO PACs, FMEAs, SHAs, QRAs, and O&SHAs, and other risk techniques.
• Apply root cause and fault tree analysis in malfunction and incident investigations.
• Develop safety, environmental, engineering, and quality documentation for startup and restart efforts.
• Prepare and review SOPs for energetics processing operations.
• Perform process design tasks and review drawings, equipment, and specifications.
• Provide on-site support, participate in meetings, draft minutes, and review analyses.
• Mentor mid- and junior-level engineers.

ERG is seekingaSenior Engineer with energetics processingexperience to support energetics and chemical manufacturing processes, including evaluating safe processes, equipment, and facility design; formulating risk mitigation strategies; providing technical expertise in new process startup activities; evaluating standard operating procedures (SOPs); performing malfunction and incident investigations; and interacting with technical customers to provide process engineering and safety expertise. Experience managing projects, facilitating meetings, investigating incidents, and facilitating hazard analyses is required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• At least 20 years of relevant experience
• Strong technical background in process engineering, process safety, and hazard analysis
• Expertisein energetic manufacturing processes is strongly desired
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Experience leading andfacilitatingteams to perform engineering and safety reviews with various stakeholders, including engineers, operators, and safety and quality representatives
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
