Job summary

White & Case is seeking a Senior Engineer for Document & Risk Management Systems in Tampa. You will own and administer key enterprise platforms (iManage, Intapp) across on‑prem and cloud environments, driving deployments, upgrades and integrations.

Technology Services plays a significant role in supporting the Firm’s systems and people.The Senior Engineer, Document & Risk Management Systems is responsible for managing the ownership of configuration, deployment, management and administration of certain third-party enterprise systems and custom in-house applications/services, both on-prem and in the Cloud. The Senior Engineer, Document & Risk Management Systems will provide technical leadership for the support and implementation (and upgrades) of those applications and their related environment/servers (both on-prem and Cloud), with a particular focus on key legal enterprise platforms such as iManage and Intapp and their associated integrations and APIs.The roles and responsibilities of this job include:Installation, management and technical ownership of both MS-Windows and Linux based application/web/database servers (both on-prem as well as Cloud)Implementation of applications to DBMS Servers ( MS-SQL Server, Linux etc )Implementation & Third-Level support for critical Third-party and custom enterprise systemsDevelop/enhance and enforce Firm standards and policies as it relates to Software Management and DeploymentCoordinate scheduling of maintenance tasks needed to ensure Application availability and optimization.Ensure data integrity and availability through implementation of security, backup, and recovery plans and controls.Interface with legal and administrative staff to understand business needs and assess, coordinate, and oversee deployment of solutions while providing technical leadershipAssure that a clear planning process is followed, including a well-defined scope of deliverables, and a continuous communication process to manage client expectations.Proactively report project risks and deliverable issues to superiors and clients for immediate mitigation or resolution.Maintain and assist with Vendor relationsWork with Business teams to develop and direct multi-year roadmaps of critical applicationsContinually Enhance technical skills through training, seminars, and education in new server-side technologies and environments.The qualifications for this role are:Strong hands-on experience in administration of MS-Windows and Linux application server(s) - App/Web and Database serversExperience in writing Powershell scripts used for app/system deployment and administration tasksExperience deploying and utilizing APIs, including Web services (REST), RPC protocolExperience with Application Architecture including Cloud Applications and Integrations; In Hybrid & Multi-Cloud DeploymentsExperience with Application/Server/Performance TroubleshootingExperience with Web Site Management (IIS & Apache )Experience with performance monitoring, database optimization, and index utilization.Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to facilitate work efforts.Demonstrate ability to work productively with a wide range of people.
