BD in Covington, GA is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead design and development of urology and critical care devices. You will evaluate internal and external concepts, drive design controls, and collaborate with R&D, Marketing and partners to translate clinical needs into robust solutions.
You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to regulatory documentation (DHF, risk files), and help advance products across BD’s UCC platforms, including endourology and urinary management.

The Senior R&D Engineer will play a key role within BD’s Urology and Critical Care business with a primary focus on leading engineering design and development efforts, including internally developed and externally partnered technologies. This role requires strong technical judgment and the ability to independently lead design evaluation, integration, and development activities, ensuring solutions align with clinical needs. You may have the opportunity to develop products in any of UCC’s product platforms: Endourology, Urinary Incontinence, and Urinary Management.
You will have a direct impact on multiple products and innovations across BD’s portfolios by driving evaluation and integration of new technologies across BD’s portfolio. Operating at the intersection of clinical application, engineering design, and market strategy, you will collaborate across R&D, Marketing, and external partners to translate user needs and emerging trends into innovative solutions. Your work will directly contribute to advancing products that improve outcomes across urology and critical care, delivering meaningful value to patients and clinicians while strengthening BD’s position in urology and critical care markets.
