Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Senior Engineer, Facility Operations to support the NGB GMP facility and biologics process development. The role emphasizes maintenance, utilities management, calibration, and start-up activities to ensure operational readiness.

You will coordinate with vendors and contractors, uphold cGMP standards, contribute to deviation management and SOP development, and lead safety-focused training while fostering cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in chemical/biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related with 5+ years relevant GMP experience.
• Strong knowledge of clean utilities, HVAC, DeltaV, CMMS, and cGMP environments.
• Experience with biologics manufacturing equipment and supporting large facility builds preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for facility & utilities equipment, manage maintenance, calibration, start-up activities, and operational readiness.
• Oversee vendor and contractor interactions.
• Support GMP compliance, troubleshooting, deviation management, and SOP development.
• Lead training efforts and promote safety culture.
• Collaborate across teams for best practices and operational consistency.
