About Radia

Radia is a dual use aerospace company developing WindRunner™, the world’s largest cargoaircraft. WindRunner is designed to enable direct transport of oversized cargo across defense, energy, commercial, aerospace, and humanitarian missions without reliance on specialized infrastructure. Radia is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and Rome, Italy, with a growing global partner and supplier network.

Radia is seeking a Senior Aircraft Fluid Systems Engineer to help define, model, analyze, and integrate critical fluid systems for WindRunner™, including Hydraulic Power Systems, Air Management Systems, and Environmental Control Systems (ECS). In this role, you will work across system architecture, performance analysis, modeling and simulation, supplier collaboration, and certification-ready design to deliver robust aerospace systems for a first-of-its-kind aircraft.

  • Perform analyses related to thermal management, airflow, pressure control, fluid dynamics, and system integration.
  • Support system architecture definition, requirements development, and verification planning.

  • Strong experience with Simulink, MATLAB, and Python for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of environmental control systems, hydraulic systems, or related aircraft subsystems.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 25 certification requirements and aircraft development processes.
  • Experience managing suppliers or external partners, including technical reviews and schedule oversight.
  • Experience supporting aircraft-level integration, system layouts, or equipment placement using CATIA or similar 3D design tools.
