Job summary

Target is building the next generation of AI-enabled analytics and data access. As a Sr Engineer, you will design and implement the software behind Agent Fetch and the agentic data platform, collaborating on orchestration, metadata access, and security.

This hybrid role requires quick learning, independent work, and strong teamwork across teams. You will work with Python/Java, AI agents, LLMs, and data governance to deliver scalable analytics solutions in a fast-evolving space.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Quantitative disciplines or equivalent.
• MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Applied Mathematics or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications or platform services
• Proficiency in Python or Java with ability to learn additional languages

Responsibilities

• Design and build software and platform capabilities for AI-enabled analytics.
• Collaborate across agent orchestration, data access, and semantic models.
• Ensure security and compliant data governance patterns.
• Develop APIs and distributed systems to support enterprise analytics.
• Participate in evaluation and observability for LLM- or agent-based systems.
• Diagnose complex issues and iteratively improve solutions.
• Document technical approaches and tradeoffs.
• Work with teams across stakeholders and engineers.
