Nordstrom in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Senior Engineer 2 to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. This role is hybrid and requires onsite work at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of four days per week.

You will help build scalable, reliable systems, set high operational standards, lead projects from concept to execution, and drive automation to improve performance and reliability across the technology stack. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on SRE or infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Strong networking experience and understanding of network protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive issue addressing.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Nordstrom is looking for a Senior Engineer 2 to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team — and we think that person could be you.

You’ll help build the scalable, reliable, and resilient systems that keep Nordstrom running for millions of customers. You’ll set and maintain high operational standards, lead key projects from concept to execution, and bring fresh thinking to how our team solves problems. A day in the life…

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure their systems meet Nordstrom’s standards for operational excellence.
• Mentor team members and other engineers on best practices in SRE.
• Lead the design and implementation of projects aimed at improving operational excellence across the Technology Team.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Develop and refine tools and automation to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical issues and incidents.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual efforts through automation.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for systems and procedures.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$166,000.00 - $258,000.00 Annual
