Magnite, the world’s leading independent sell-side advertising platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the SpringServe Ad Server team. You will help build a globally distributed ad serving system that processes billions of requests daily, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Join a passionate team, own full-stack development, and contribute to production systems while collaborating across multiple teams in a hybrid environment with remote options.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development.
• Development experience in Java for back-end development with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and trade-offs.
• Experience with agile development and CI tools like git, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Postgres or other Relational DB experience with SQL and table design.
• Ability to context switch and manage competing priorities.

As a Senior Software Engineer You Will

• Participate in the full-stack design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of a core product offering as it relates to a critical advertising server and buying platform
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Be a creative problem-solver able to design and implement reliable and maintainable solutions to challenging problems
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
• Write production-ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements
• Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad-hoc questions
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software
• Support operation of services in production
• Perform design and code reviews

We’re Looking For Someone With

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development
• Development experience in Java for back-end development with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• A strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and an ability to recognize the business and technical trade-offs between different solutions
• Experience with agile development and CI tools like git, a build management system like Jenkins, and Jira
• Postgres or other Relational DB experience with SQL and Table design
• Ability to context switch and manage competing priorities

Nice To Have

• General Ad Technology experience, ideally with header bidding technologies in a production environment

In California, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $150,000.

In Colorado, the base salary range for this role is $130,000 – $140,000.

In New York, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $150,000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
