Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for goods and services, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and drive total cost of ownership reductions across assigned spend categories. You will collaborate with Sr.

Management and cross-functional teams to execute RFIs/RFPs and optimize supplier performance. You will advise on options, risks, and business impact, develop negotiation strategies, and champion category initiatives to support Sunrun’s energy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of procurement experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced data analytics and spend analysis ability.

Responsibilities

Execute strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives to improve supplier quality, cost, and service levels.
Lead development and execution of RFIs and RFPs with cross-functional teams.
Negotiate with suppliers and manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance.
Develop category cost models, total cost of ownership, and cost-reduction plans.
Drive cross-functional negotiations and stakeholder alignment to meet savings goals.
