Job summary

FTI Consulting’s Network Industries Strategies (NIS) group seeks a Senior Consultant to analyze energy markets, perform capacity expansion and production cost modeling, and support advisory projects for utilities, developers, and regulators. You will build reproducible analyses, draft reports, and communicate results to clients and team members.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of quantitative energy experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with SQL, Excel, and market simulation

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant energy systems analysis experience.
• Proficiency with large datasets, forecasting models, and energy market analysis is required.
• Willingness to travel to FTI offices and client sites is expected.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and familiarity with US ISO/RTO markets.
• Experience with SQL, Excel, and energy market simulation tools is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage, process and analyze information to develop client solutions.
• Assist team leaders by providing analytic support and drafting for advisory services.
• Develop written reports describing procedures and results for regulators and clients.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
