Job summary

WSP, a leading energy solutions provider, seeks a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex energy projects across TX/LA. You will guide siting, routing, impact assessments, and permitting, collaborating with planners, scientists, engineers, and archeologists.

Based in the Texas/Louisiana region, you will support the Energy team’s siting and routing initiatives and regulatory filings, manage client relationships, and drive delivery from proposal through project close with a focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience leading environmental projects in energy (transmission, generation, renewables, pipelines).
Expertise in siting, routing, permitting, impact assessments, and compliance in TX/LA/AR/OK/NM/MS.
Experience managing PUC/PSC applications and expert testimony.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary teams across complex energy projects to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.
Direct site selection and route evaluation for transmission, distribution, and generation facilities.
Manage environmental permitting, agency coordination, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
Partner with agencies; provide guidance on state filing requirements; expert testimony is a plus.
Monitor policy trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the TX/LA market.
Serve as trusted advisor to clients, agencies, landowners, and internal partners.
Lead proposal development, scope definition, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
Promote innovation, efficiency, and best practices across project delivery.
