Job summary

EDV Werke AG seeks a Senior Endpoint Engineer to lead ConfigMgr/Intune migrations and co-management projects. You will drive pilot rings, production waves, and optimization efforts while coordinating rollback and documentation.

This remote role focuses on large-scale Windows deployments across Entra ID, AD, Intune, and ConfigMgr. You will package Win32 apps, automate workflows with Graph/PowerShell, and ensure clean handover to operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Configuration Manager current branch experience in large environments (10,000+ devices).
• Proven experience delivering large-scale Windows migrations with deployment waves, readiness checks, rollback, and hypercare.
• Production experience implementing workload transitions and troubleshooting client logs.
• Hands-on experience building Windows 11 deployment task sequences, BIOS-to-UEFI, drivers/firmware management.
• Experience packaging Intune Win32 applications with detection rules and provisioning dependencies.
• Advanced PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation across Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot.
• Experience creating automation SOPs/runbooks and handing over to operations teams.
• Fluent English with clear technical documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Co-Manage delivery including pilot collections, workload transitions, client settings, and Cloud Management Gateway deployments.
• OS Deployment: build/test Windows 11 sequences, BIOS-to-UEFI, firmware changes, Autopilot handover.
• Package and validate Win32 apps, security agents, VPN clients, certificates, provisioning dependencies.
• Develop Graph/PowerShell workflows to orchestrate migrations across Entra ID, AD, Intune, ConfigMgr.
• Implement rollback procedures, restore workloads and policies, reconcile device states across platforms.
• Run pilot rings and production migration waves; manage hypercare and resolve issues.
• Validate Delivery Optimization and Connected Cache for bandwidth-constrained environments.
• Maintain build docs, SOPs, runbooks, readiness evidence, and service desk knowledge articles.

Tasks:

• Co-Management Delivery - Configure and manage pilot collections, workload transitions, client settings, and Cloud Management Gateway deployment
• OS Deployment - Build and test Windows 11 task sequences covering BIOS-to-UEFI conversion, GPT partitioning, firmware changes, and Autopilot handover
• Application Packaging - Package and validate Win32 applications, security agents, VPN clients, certificates, and provisioning dependencies
• Migration Automation - Develop Graph and PowerShell workflows to orchestrate migration waves across Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and ConfigMgr
• Rollback & Reconciliation - Implement rollback procedures, restore workloads and policies, and reconcile device states across endpoint management platforms
• Migration Execution - Run pilot rings and production migration waves, manage hypercare, and resolve deployment issues
• Deployment Optimization - Validate Delivery Optimization and Connected Cache for bandwidth-constrained and LAN-independent environments
• Documentation & Handover - Maintain build documentation, operational SOPs, runbooks, readiness evidence, and service desk knowledge articles

Must-Have Skills:

• ConfigMgr Expertise - At least 7 years of hands-on Configuration Manager current branch experience in environments with 10,000+ devices
• Migration Delivery - Proven experience personally delivering large-scale Windows migrations using deployment waves, readiness checks, rollback, and hypercare
• Co-Management Experience - Production experience implementing workload transitions, reversing workload changes, and troubleshooting client logs
• OS Deployment Skills - Hands-on experience building task sequences, including BIOS-to-UEFI conversion, driver and firmware management, and Windows 11 deployment
• Win32 Packaging - Experience packaging Intune Win32 applications with detection rules, requirement rules, and provisioning dependency chains
• Automation Expertise - Advanced PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation across Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot
