Job summary

The City and County of Denver’s City Attorney’s Office seeks a Senior Assistant City Attorney in Employment & Labor Law. This role provides counsel to City executives and represents the City in federal/state courts and agencies. Lead work on complex litigation and advise on employment and traditional labor law issues.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant experience, strong written/oral advocacy, and a public service mindset. Colorado law license by hire date is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B. required with Colorado bar admission by hire date.
• Significant experience in employment and labor law matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent the City and County in courts and administrative forums.
• Provide advisory counsel on wage/hour, leave, and workplace policies.
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys; manage complex litigation and bargaining matters.
