The ideal candidate has a J.D. with 7+ years of employment law experience, bar admission, and comfort with cross-functional collaboration and M&A activities.

Qualifications

• J.D. with 7+ years of employment law counselling and litigation experience.
• State Bar admission is required.
• Experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Employment law M&A experience encouraged.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong project management and timely delivery.
• ERISA benefits knowledge is a plus.
• Due diligence and integration experience in M&A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day employment law counselling and advice for US R&D organization.
• Represent the company in labor and employment matters at the demand stage.
• Advise on employment-related litigation with the litigation team.
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Review company policies for compliance with federal and state laws.
• Support M&A employment law due diligence and integration.
• Develop policies and training for HR and business areas.
• Stay informed on new laws and industry trends affecting the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
