The Help Group in the Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Employee Relations leader to resolve complex matters, conduct thorough investigations, and advise managers and leadership on performance, discipline, and policy actions.

This full-time, on-site role requires 5–8+ years of HR/Employee Relations experience, strong employment-law knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support positive organizational change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR/Employee Relations experience.
  • Experience advising managers and senior leaders.
  • Experience with HRIS and case management systems.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP/CP, SPHR, or PHR desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, conduct issues, attendance challenges, and policy violations.
  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations and provide clear documentation, findings, and recommendations.
  • Advise and coach managers and leadership on employee relations strategies, performance management, corrective actions, and difficult conversations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws while promoting fair and consistent workplace practices.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to address sensitive employee matters and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Analyze employee relations trends, deliver manager training, and recommend proactive solutions to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR/Employee Relations experience.
  • Significant experience independently managing complex employee relations matters and investigations.
  • Experience advising managers and senior leaders.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR is desirable.
  • Experience with HRIS and employee relations/case management systems preferred.

This salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
