Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in employment-related matters.
• Knowledge of public sector laws/requirements; healthcare industry, higher education preferred.
• Skill in writing concise, clear, relevant and persuasive documents.
• Demonstrated presentation skills, i.e., grievance meetings and trainings.
• Knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA/CFRA, HIPAA and more.
• Experience in conducting investigations of harassment and discrimination.
• Ability to analyze and draft proposals for negotiations and settlements.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with UCLA offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations matters for staff employees.
• Responsible for policy and contract administration.
• Represent UCLA Health in work-groups/committees.
• Orient management on policy and legal compliance.
• Assist in investigations of workplace-related matters.
