Job summary
General Motors in Milford, Michigan, is seeking a Senior Advanced Emission System Software Engineer to lead ATW projects in the ICE domain, ensuring regulatory and customer expectations are met. You will guide cross-functional teams across software, controls, and calibration to deliver robust powertrain solutions.
You’ll develop control methods, calibrations, and verification plans, and participate in emissions testing using test benches and development vehicles, contributing to production
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
- 2+ years in propulsion system controls, software, or calibration.
- Knowledge in the internal combustion engine control domain.
- Proficient with data analysis tools and vehicle interfaces.
- Strong programming skills and ability to communicate with leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead/support a team to execute ATW projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Support development of control methods and controller software code.
- Develop calibrations for ATW projects to prove system capability.
- Verify control methods/software on SIL/HIL benches and test vehicles.
- Perform emission testing on engine start cart, dynamometer, or vehicle.
