The Fertility Institute of New Orleans (FINO) in Metairie, LA seeks a Senior Embryologist for full-time duties in a high-volume IVF laboratory. You will perform embryology and andrology procedures, manage samples, and coordinate cycle logistics to support patient cycles.

The ideal candidate holds a Biology degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with ABB certification or equivalent, and has hands-on fertility lab experience, including PGT biopsies and strict quality control.

• Bachelor's or Master's in Biological Sciences with related clinical experience.
• Technical supervision ABB certification or equivalent is required.
• Experience in fertility clinic, especially PGT biopsies, is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform core embryology and andrology procedures including semen analysis, oocyte identification, and embryo evaluations.
• Prepare culture dishes and media with sterile techniques; conduct QC and maintenance.
• Manage cryogenic storage and monitor liquid nitrogen levels.
• Maintain patient records, IVF charts, and cycle-specific documentation packets.
• Coordinate IVF cycle logistics including FET scheduling and treatment plan verification.
• Perform PGT biopsies with laser-assisted techniques and coordinate sample labeling/shipment.
• Enter and manage data across lab databases and assist QA audits.
• Support inventory control and general lab organization.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate full-time Senior Embryologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of andrology and embryology procedures essential to successful IVF treatments. This role requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills to manage patient cycles, laboratory documentation, and daily lab operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform core embryology and andrology procedures, including semen analysis, sperm preparations, oocyte identification, embryo evaluations, and embryo transfers.
• Prepare culture dishes and media using sterile techniques; conduct daily quality control checks and routine equipment maintenance.
• Manage cryogenic storage, monitor liquid nitrogen levels, and ensure proper handling of specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records, prepare IVF charts and labels, verify consents, and assemble cycle-specific documentation packets.
• Coordinate IVF cycle logistics, including patient summaries, FET and oocyte thaw scheduling, and treatment plan verification.
• Perform preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) biopsies using laser-assisted biopsy techniques, and coordinate specimen labeling and shipment to genetic testing partners.
• Enter and manage data across multiple lab databases and assist with QA audits as needed.
• Support inventory control, supply restocking, and general lab organization.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with Technical Supervisor (ABB) certification, or a Master's degree in Biological Sciences.
• Technical expertise gained within a fertility clinic environment, particularly PGT biopsies.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-based environment.

Schedule

Full-time position based at our Metairie, LA clinic. Weekday hours (8 hour shifts) with rotating weekend and holiday coverage as needed to support patient cycles.
