IDEAS-TEK seeks a Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer in Albuquerque to specify, design, and implement RTL and software for embedded devices, from requirements to deployment. You will verify and validate RTL, work with hardware teams, and potentially lead a small team of engineers.

The role demands a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 10+ years in embedded systems with FPGA/VHDL/Verilog, plus experience with tools like Vivado and Libero SoC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of embedded systems experience.
• Expertise with FPGA development using VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with microcontrollers/microprocessors & hardware/software interfaces.
• Familiarity with test equipment and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of PCB design tools and datasheet interpretation.
• Experience with software configuration management and defect tracking.
• Understanding of OS, IP protocols, and hardware subsystems.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and implement RTL and software for embedded devices and systems.
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of resources.
• Interface with hardware design and development teams.
• Document design processes and report system results.
