Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an Embedded Engineer to design, develop, test and evaluate electrical, electronic, mechanical and software components for government, commercial and scientific uses. You’ll work with C/C++, read assembler, and navigate Linux and VxWorks RTOS.

You’ll analyze requirements, craft technical solutions, coordinate hardware and software acquisitions, and prototype proof‑of‑concept capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent military experience.
• Master’s degree in CS/CE is also acceptable.
• Strong fundamentals in OS concepts and device drivers.
• Low-level programming in Unix/Linux/Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and evaluate electrical, electronic, mechanical and software components and systems.
• Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions to complex problems.
• Coordinate hardware/software acquisitions and subcontractor services as needed.
• Prototype proofs of concept and contribute to security research efforts.
