Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Lead Software Engineer to lead embedded real-time software development across multiple products. You will drive architecture, interfaces, testing, and integration, while coordinating a global team both remote and local.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and 6+ years in software engineering, U.S. citizenship, and experience with MBSE, CI tools, and certification standards. A master's degree is preferred and a discretionary bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a software engineering discipline.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship status.
• Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with software development processes and certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop software architecture and design.
• Define interface requirements and establish software APIs to hardware devices and software applications.
• Define software requirements and respective test cases and procedures.
• Perform software implementation, debug, and integration activities.
• Develop software test applications.
• Accountable for full project execution tasks including scope, schedule, cost, technical definition, quality.
• Measure and report progress through defined metrics and earned value approaches.
• Interface with team members as part of a global team with remote and local team members.
• Execute software reuse strategies aligned to a product line development environment.
• Participate in selection of technologies, processes, and tools meeting product requirements.
