Job summary

Tau Motors seeks a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive Tau’s software-enabled platforms from architecture through testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, integrate, and validate software functions for safe, robust operation.

Responsibilities include real-time embedded code for motor control, software-defined power electronics, and implementing CI/CD across the organization.

Qualifications

• Expert-level embedded firmware experience in C/C++.
• Experience with TI and Infineon MCUs and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of MISRA and ISO 26262 functional safety.
• Hands-on with CI/CD and version control in embedded projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality embedded code for real-time motor control software.
• Apply MISRA and ISO 26262 standards throughout the software lifecycle.
• Implement CI/CD practices within the software team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware/software systems.
• Design and implement algorithms for power converters and motion control.
• Develop software tests including unit, SIL, and HIL.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback.
