Job summary

Jobtailor in Missouri is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to join a team developing Body Control System components for automotive ECUs. You will analyze requirements, implement in C and Python, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality driver code.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent.
5+ years Embedded Software Experience; Body Control System preferred.
5+ years Embedded C, MATLAB Simulink, Stateflow programming.
Strong C programming for portable, cross‑platform code.
3+ years PoC development for automotive ECUs.
2+ years Agile experience.
MS in Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
Jenkins and GitHub Actions experience.
Automotive control units software development experience.
AUTOSAR methodology knowledge; software simulation with hardware models.

Responsibilities

Work in a team of motivated Embedded Software Engineers.
Design and develop embedded software components for Body Control System.
Analyze requirements, design features, and implement in C/Python.
Deliver high-quality device driver code on time.
Refactor components to meet new architecture needs.
Collaborate with Ford architecture/validation teams and partners; create reusable components, docs, guides.
Handle build environments, source debugging, and streamline deployments.
Coordinate with PMs to align CI/CD for product variants.
Explore cloud-scale test infra and CI/CD for virtual and hardware ECUs.
