Job summary

Curtiss-Wright’s Peerless Instrument facility in Farmingdale, NY seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop embedded software for precision measurement equipment. The role requires strong C/C++, Python, and object-oriented programming, plus experience with Xilinx Zynq and Vitis in an Agile setting.

The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience, be a US citizen able to obtain a DoD security clearance, and possess BSCS/BSCE (MSCS/MSCE preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of embedded software design, programming, and debugging.
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and experience.
• Ability to architect software designs from customer requirements, including appropriate abstractions.
• Ability to design, code, debug, test and document embedded software applications and work collaboratively with other engineers.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for precision electronic measurement equipment.
• Document projects in design reports and software verification reports.
• Architect software designs from customer requirements with appropriate abstractions.
