Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a team developing safety-critical systems for heavy equipment and driver-assistance sectors.

You will design, develop and maintain embedded software in C and C++, work with system architect, hardware, systems and product teams to deliver reliable software on shared embedded hardware.

The role includes technical leadership, breaking down features, distributing tasks, reviewing code and mentoring developers.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C, with experience in modern C++.
• Professional experience developing software for embedded environments.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical features.
• Comfortable acting as a technical reference for the team.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
• A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting other developers.

About the role

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a team developing safety-critical systems for the heavy equipment and driver-assistance sectors.

You’ll design, develop and maintain embedded software in C and C++. You’ll work closely with the system architect, hardware, systems and product teams to deliver reliable software for applications running on shared embedded hardware.

The role also includes technical leadership. You’ll help break down complex features, distribute tasks across the team, review code and support less experienced developers.

• Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 13849 or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Yocto and Conan.
