Job Summary – Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Develop foundational embedded C software modules for an AUTOSAR-based system.
Collaborate with Software Architect to define module behaviors, interfaces, and integration strategies.
Work with AUTOSAR Expert to ensure modules are structured for seamless AUTOSAR integration.
Implement core system functionality such as power management, diagnostics (UDS), communication services, and internal infrastructure.
Support system-level analysis, debugging, and issue resolution for prototypes and test builds.
Develop and analyze CAN and SENT (SAE J2716) communication using tools like CANalyzer/CANoe.
Participate in unit testing, static analysis, and verification activities.
Utilize cross-compilers, debuggers, and embedded development tools during software build-up.
Adhere to Aptiv’s development processes, including ASPICE and functional safety (ISO 26262) guidelines.
Work collaboratively with global teams, supporting early-phase planning, reviews, and bring-up activities.
Requires 10+ years’ experience in embedded C development, microcontrollers, and automotive communication protocols.
Strong background in unit testing, static analysis, debugging, and system analysis.
Excellent communication, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
Optional: Experience in occupant sensing/airbag software, advanced prototyping, and functional safety work products (FMEA, FMEDA).
