Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Configuration Management Engineer to manage software life cycle data for airborne embedded software and support FAA certification efforts. This role collaborates across Airworthiness, Engineering, Production and Quality to maintain traceability in ALM, version control and archives.

You will define DO-178C compliant processes, train users, chair the SCCB, ensure proper software loading, and contribute to quality procedures.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of embedded software development processes and DO-178C familiarity.
Experience in aerospace or government-regulated design/manufacturing.
Experience with PLM/ALM applications managing baselines and changes.
Experience with version control (Subversion, Git, GitLab).
Experience managing and maintaining configuration indexes.

Responsibilities

Define configuration management processes for embedded software in compliance with DO-178C and industry standards.
Train users in best practices for software life cycle data management.
Coordinate changes, releases, baselines, and documentation for airborne software and test equipment software.
Chair the Software Change Control Board (SCCB) to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
Ensure correct software loading for production and compatibility with aircraft systems.
Contribute to quality system procedures and audit checklists.
Serve as SME and train users on Polarion, Subversion, and GitLab.
