Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Senior Embedded Security Engineer to design, implement, and validate security controls for embedded devices at the Johnston, IA location. • Support penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security validation activities to identify weaknesses and improve product resilience.
• Support our teams developing the next generation of autonomous systems by designing and developing new security controls for those systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Embedded Security Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Johnston, IA, you will:

• Design, develop, and validate security controls for resource-constrained embedded devices, using cryptographic technologies such as HSMs and trusted execution environments

What Skills You Need

• 5 or more years experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems

What Makes You Standout

• Experience in the application of cryptographic security controls for embedded systems (ex – enabling secure boot)
• Experience with ISO/SAE 21434 (Road Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineering)
• Experience in the development of embedded systems for vehicles
• Experience in the development of IoT devices
• PKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection

Education
