Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer II in Westminster, CO on a contract basis. Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 9+ years of industry software development experience.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting of software systems and hardware.
• Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
• Strong Embedded Linux and Yocto experience.
• Familiar with software configuration management and defect tracking.
• Excellent multi-threaded programming and resource management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and port embedded Linux applications, drivers, and libraries.
• Configure and integrate Linux kernel and boot loaders (U-Boot).
• Work with U-Boot and Linux kernel configurations.
• Maintain Yocto build system in CI/CD environments.
• Package and deploy software images for multiple hardware platforms.
• Create Linux images tailored to embedded hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and performance.
