Job summary

MKS Instruments in United States is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Test Engineer to partner with R&D and product teams to develop firmware regression testing systems and automation. You will report to the SQA team manager and help advance firmware quality goals.

Responsibilities include designing and supporting test suites, coaching engineers, analyzing failures, and interfacing with customers to define specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Solid understanding of Python.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply to testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and support embedded firmware test suites and automation.
• Test and analyze RF systems for plasma control.
• Coach junior engineers on test equipment interfacing and testing techniques.
• Analyze test failures to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Produce design documentation and interface with internal customers.
