Job summary

Coreforce is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to strengthen public safety technology with firmware across bare‑metal and embedded Linux platforms. You will lead board bring‑up, write drivers, and optimize performance for power and memory constraints.

The role emphasizes collaboration with hardware and software teams, participation in Scrum, and delivering robust diagnostics, testable code, and secure firmware practices for devices like body cameras and in‑vehicle hardware.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience developing embedded firmware for production hardware.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems with real‑time constraints.
• Experience with bare‑metal development and at least one RTOS or embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to board bring‑up activities for new hardware platforms, including bootloader configuration, memory initialization, and peripheral verification.
• Design, implement, and maintain firmware in C/C++ for bare‑metal microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems.
• Develop, integrate, and optimize device drivers for peripherals such as sensors, radios, storage, displays, and interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Implement and tune interrupt handlers and low‑level timing mechanisms to ensure deterministic behavior.
