Job summary

Ethernovia, Inc. seeks senior embedded software/firmware engineers to build the networking stack and device drivers for automotive-grade hardware. You will work on kernel/user drivers, Ethernet interfaces, and AUTOSAR/Linux integrations within a safety-aware team.

You’ll collaborate across architecture, design and testing, contributing to firmware and driver verification while supporting remote Canada-based roles with flexible hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Software or related field.
6+ years work experience in software development.
Proficient in C/C++ programming; Python a plus.
Experience with Software Device Drivers, preferably Ethernet.
Deep understanding of OS, kernel, device drivers; Linux/RTOS familiarity.
Firmware experience for Ethernet devices and hardware interaction.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate Ethernovia’s device drivers into the SDK.
Architect, implement, test and integrate kernel/user-mode drivers with Linux/QNX/RTOS.
Work with firmware and low-level code, optimize performance and footprint.
Collaborate across teams to ensure safety-critical automotive compliance.
