Job summary

Oho Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to join its engineering team. You will design, develop, and bring up embedded firmware for production hardware, working close to the hardware and across the firmware/electronics boundary.

The role emphasizes C/C++ in real-time, RTOS or bare-metal environments, Python tooling, and hands-on debugging on real hardware, with responsibility from initial development through testing and eventual production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional embedded software/firmware experience.
• Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded development.
• Strong Python scripting/programming skills.
• Experience with embedded software testing and validation.
• Proven ability to debug firmware on real hardware.
• Comfortable working across the hardware/software interface.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for production hardware
• Develop high-quality C/C++ for resource-constrained, real-time systems
• Develop firmware for microcontrollers and bare-metal environments
• Work with RTOS and real-time operating systems
• Build Python-based tools and automation for development, testing, and validation
• Bring up new hardware and troubleshoot issues across the hardware/software boundary
• Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and hardware-level testing
