Job summary

Axon seeks an embedded firmware engineer to develop networking firmware for Linux- and Android-based platforms. You will work on high-performance, low-latency devices in a small team, owning software across the stack in a resource-constrained environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building software for Embedded Linux or Embedded Android.
• Strong programming experience in C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience building and optimizing performance-sensitive or real-time systems where latency and reliability matter.
• Experience working with networking, connectivity, or communication protocols in production systems.
• Systems-level experience building software for resource-constrained or connected devices.
• Track record of partnering across software and hardware to solve complex systems-level problems.
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity in an early-stage, new product environment.

You'll work on a small team building high-performance, mission-critical devices with low-latency communication requirements. Axon has a portfolio of robust imaging and communication products that help law enforcement do their jobs and keep people safe every day. In this role, you'll develop embedded networking firmware for Linux- and Android-based platforms.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Base Pay Range

$141,000-$216,600 USD
