Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software for medical devices per FDA/ISO (IEC 62304) with design/test docs.
• Ability to migrate ARM legacy code to new ARM boards.
• Create bootloaders and application code; develop device drivers.
• Proficient with RTOS (CMX/ThreadX) and multi-threaded RTOS apps.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded modules.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, ADCs/DACs.
• Strong debugging on PCBA or integrated product; familiar with CANoe/Lauterbach.
• Proficient with lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, DVMs).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to read schematics for design/debug.
• Work independently while collaborating with SMEs to meet milestones.
• Capable of handling multiple projects with priorities aligned to schedule.

Job description

Looking for an experienced embedded engineer who has worked in the medical device

industry on complex multi-processor-based systems as a “hands-on” individual contributor

with the following:

Must Haves:

• 1. Experience developing embedded software for medical devices according to FDA/ISO regulations (including IEC 62304) and writing supporting design and test documentation.
• 2. Ability to migrate ARM legacy code to new ARM Boards.
• 3. Proficient in creating bootloaders and application code as well as developing device drivers.
• 4. Proficient with RTOS (CMX, ThreadX, or similar) and RTOS based applications and multi-threaded applications.
• 5. Proficient programming in C++ and C targeting embedded modules.
• 6. Experience with CAN, Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, ADC’s and DAC’s.
• 7. Strong debugging skills at component-level designs on the PCBA or within an integrated product and experience with simulation and debug tools (ex: CANoe, Lauterbach)
• 8. Proficient in using lab equipment (logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes and DVMs) to debug and troubleshoot designs
• 9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 10. Ability to read schematics as applicable to design and debugging efforts.
• 11. Ability to work independently while collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to meet project schedule and project milestones.

• 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 2. 6+ years hands on embedded software development experience
• 3. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
