Job summary
Global Connect Technologies seeks an experienced Embedded Connectivity & Communications Software Engineer to develop software for next-generation marine electronics and connected systems. You will design applications on embedded platforms that communicate with CAN-based systems, smart devices, and cloud services.
The role requires 8+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and expertise in BLE, BLE stacks, and networking protocols.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming experience.
- Embedded Linux experience.
- Experience with Socket CAN.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and BlueZ Bluetooth Stack.
- Familiarity with networking protocols: TCP/IP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, MQTT, FTP, Wi-Fi.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications on embedded platforms.
- Develop connectivity solutions using Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and Cellular technologies.
- Build applications that interface with embedded devices, mobile devices, and cloud services.
- Work with modern software development tools, source control, and CI/CD practices.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
