Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions seeks a software engineer to develop embedded C++ for aircraft and test systems. You will work in a small, collaborative team on real-time avionics software and lab/flight-line test tools.

Responsibilities include integration, testing, documentation, and adherence to DO-178C style processes where applicable. A DoD clearance or ability to obtain one is required; travel to support duties is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software in C++ for avionics or aerospace domains.
• DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for aircraft and test systems.
• Integrate and test software on aircraft and in high-fidelity simulations.
• Produce design documentation for internal/external use.
• Follow 5-D Systems software development processes.
• Develop test plans to verify system requirements.
• Contribute to planning, design, testing, and deployment of complex systems.
• Peer review teammates' work and perform design research.
