Job summary

Beacon EmbeddedWorks in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a Principal Applications Engineer to provide technical support across hardware, software, and documentation, and to assist engineering and production through designing, testing, and debugging embedded systems.

You will work with USB, HDMI, MIPI interfaces, Linux, Android, and BSPs; review designs, write user guides, and mentor peers while handling multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline with 12 years of experience as an applications engineer (or MS with 8 years of experience).
• Experience working with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
• Strong Linux knowledge and experience with Android.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded processor platforms with USB, HDMI, LVDS, MIPI-DSI, MIPI-CSI, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and other peripherals.
• Build BSPs for Linux, Android, FreeRTOS and other OS as required.
• Review hardware designs and perform system-level schematic reviews.
• Define product design requirements and support multiple concurrent projects.
• Provide technical trainings to team, partners, and customers.
• Mentor and coach colleagues within the department.
