Job summary

X4 Engineering is seeking a Senior Emerging Markets Risk Manager to provide high-level risk oversight across portfolios spanning Latin America, Asia, and CEEMEA. You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers, quants, and senior risk leadership to analyze exposures and shape risk guidelines.

This role involves developing scenario analyses, influencing risk decisions globally, and communicating complex risk concepts to senior teams. Strong EM experience and Python skills are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in market risk, investment risk, quantitative analysis, trading, structuring, or related roles.
• Strong Emerging Markets experience with deep knowledge across Fixed Income, Rates, FX and derivatives.
• Experience across Emerging Markets in Latin America, Asia, and/or CEEMEA.
• Understanding of portfolio risk, VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, and P&L attribution.
• Experience conducting trade-level risk analysis across Rates, FX, credit, equities and derivatives.
• Ability to partner with Portfolio Managers to assess risk and challenge exposures outside guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills to present complex risk concepts to senior teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and proactive market-event monitoring.
• Buy-side or hedge fund experience.
• Advanced degree in quantitative discipline.
