Job summary

The HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) within the NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Principal Administrative Associate III to serve as an Eligibility and Support Services Coordinator. You will provide necessary support and resources to staff, supervise clerical personnel, and ensure efficient service delivery for clients.

Responsibilities include coordinating procurement, maintaining center rosters, overseeing reports, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting staff training.

Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree and two years of satisfactory full-time clerical/administrative experience, with supervisory duties.
  • Associate degree and three years of clerical/administrative experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
  • Four-year high school diploma and four years of clerical/administrative experience, including one year supervisory experience.
  • Education/experience equivalence with required supervisory experience accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, resources and technical assistance to staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Supervise Senior Eligibility Supervisors, Office Manager and clerical staff; ensure stock rooms, reception and related areas are in order.
  • Coordinate procurement of office equipment and maintain center roster; oversee cleanliness and center upkeep.
  • Monitor timeliness and accuracy of benefits and services; review reports and train staff for performance improvement.
  • Ensure proper interpretation and application of eligibility policies; supervise audits and responses to reviews.
