Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Senior Elevator & Escalator Inspector to support multiple active projects in the New York metropolitan area.

The role focuses on testing, commissioning, and field operations for vertical transportation systems, ensuring compliance with owner requirements. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, 10 years of inspection experience, and 5 years of testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management; 10 years inspection experience.
• 5 years testing and commissioning experience.
• Strong understanding of vertical transportation (elevator/escalator) systems and testing processes.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of commissioning plans and documentation.
• Oversee Pre-functional, Functional, Integrated, and Pre-ASME testing.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Design teams, Owners, and Agency Representatives.
• Review submittals, O&M manuals, and training documentation.
