Job summary

Probo Medical in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Electronics Repair Engineer to lead component-level repair and reverse engineering of complex PCB assemblies for diagnostic imaging equipment. You will develop validated repair methodologies, collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Field Service, and ensure ISO 13485 and ESD compliance while expanding repair capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in electronics/engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot highly complex electronic failures.
• Experience with repair methodologies and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex multilayer PCB assemblies to the component level.
• Perform precision surface-mount rework, BGA/FPGA replacement, and thermal profile development.
• Reverse engineer electronic assemblies and develop validated repair methodologies.
• Develop engineering work instructions and test procedures when OEM docs are unavailable.
• Drive corrective actions to improve repair quality, reliability and first-pass yield.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Technical Support, Supply Chain, and Field Service.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and ESDS standards.
