Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of advanced electronic systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a proven track record of delivering innovative electronic designs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Development:
   
   • Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of electronic circuits and systems for soldering and rework systems including BGA installation and removal machines.
   • Develop detailed schematics and layouts using CAD tools such as Altium.
   • Ensure designs meet performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
2. Project Management:
   
   • Manage multiple design projects, from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate systems effectively.
3. Innovation and Optimization:
   
   • Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
   • Perform root-cause analysis and implement solutions for design challenges or field issues.
4. Testing and Validation:
   
   • Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and production units, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
   • Utilize simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) for circuit analysis and optimization.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
   
   • Generate and maintain detailed design documentation, including BOMs, test reports, and electrical drawings.
   • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, CSA, and UL).
6. Mentorship:
   
   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
   • Conduct design reviews and offer constructive feedback to enhance team performance.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in electronic circuit design and development.
3. Expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
4. Proficiency with PCB layout and design tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
5. Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers especially the ARM Cortex-A72 and 80C51 processors.
6. Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, RS232, I2C, SPI).
2. Knowledge of power electronics and motor control systems.
3. Experience with Python, or C++.
