Noble Corporation seeks an Electronics Technician for MODU maintenance and repair of electronic control and support systems. You will monitor rig systems, troubleshoot issues, uphold safety/environmental standards, and support the Technical Supervisor with efficient procedures.
Required are a recognized trade qualification, 10+ years on MODU, BOSIET/Confined Space training, and a Marshall Island Supervisor license; experience with IFS and strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Responsible for maintenance and repair of MODU electronic control and support systems, electronic components and component interface systems. Monitors all rig electronic systems operation and troubleshoots and repairs as necessary for operations. Implements and upholds safety and environmental compliance requirements. Provide technical support for electronic systems to ensure achievement of rig efficiency and client objectives. Provide specific focus on systems that will keep maintenance operations running effectively and avoid down time. Assist the Technical Supervisor with effective maintenance procedures and ensure that the Noble Maintenance System is effectively utilized. Assist the Electrician and Subsea Engineer as directed by the Technical Supervisor to support on-going operations.
If working on DP Semi-submersibles: Responsible for the rig's maintenance system including creation, distribution, assignment and verification of planned corrective work orders within the Electronics Department. Advise others of modifications, changes to procedures and/or frequencies which will improve the Noble Maintenance System and be in compliance with the Management of Change System on an ongoing basis. Participate in daily departmental meetings at each shift change to discuss and inform personnel of safety and general issues concerning the maintenance department.
