Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Electronic Calibration Technician to join the Military Aircraft Group.

You will report to the Supervisor of Metrology and work onsite at East Aurora, NY, with responsibilities spanning calibration, repair, and documentation of electronic test equipment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electronic calibration, strong hands-on skills with Fluke calibrators and related instruments, and the ability to collaborate with engineering to improve calibration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electronic calibration, assembly, repair, or maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge with electronic test equipment for calibration such as Fluke calibrators, power supplies, encoders, temperature baths and dead weight pressure calibrators.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to write clear technical documentation.
• Background in calibration/metrology, especially electronic calibration involving circuitry and test system startup.
• Self-motivated learner who can manage multiple tasks, collaborate well, and take ownership with minimal supervision.
• Able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and contribute technical insight to resolve issues affecting MTE.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic test equipment to manufacturer specs or internal standards.
• Perform calibrations following established procedures and help build documentation when procedures don't yet exist.
• Review the daily schedule or service requests to keep calibration work on track and delivered on time.
• Troubleshoot issues by fault isolation and interpreting symptoms with a methodical approach.
• Recommend improvements to calibration processes, maintenance practices, and equipment reliability.
• Support initial calibration activities for first-of-its-kind MTE.
• Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge to build team capability.
• Collaborate with engineering to update calibration procedures.
• Ensure calibration records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal requirements.
