Job summary

Insight Global in Bothell, WA seeks an experienced electronics technician to perform PCBA prep, soldering to IPC standards, and mechanical assembly of custom control chassis.

You will read schematics, build in 19” racks, manage cable harnesses, and contribute to continuous improvement and NCR processes in an ES D-controlled environment. Requires a 2-year degree and 5+ years in high-tech manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree (Electronics/Mechatronics).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in high-tech electronics manufacturing.
• Proficiency in IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
• Ability to read and follow complex electrical schematics, wire lists, and drawings.
• Experience in an ESD-controlled environment and cleanroom protocols.

Responsibilities

• PCBA prep and soldering (through-hole and SMT) to IPC Class 3.
• Box build assembly: mount power supplies, integrate PCBs, manage thermal interfaces.
• Rack integration & cabling: install into 19" racks and perform wiring with proper strain relief.
• Read and interpret detailed schematics, wire lists, and drawings for accurate builds.
• Document best practices and participate in NCRs as part of continuous improvement.
