The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, careful documentation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with others.

Key Responsibilities
Service and Repair
  • Diagnose and repair returned equipment, including ultrasonic generators, converters, and welding systems, following training and approved procedures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic problems using schematics, test equipment, and a systematic approach.
  • Evaluate equipment condition, identify required parts and labor, and provide findings to support repair estimates and customer updates.
  • Test repaired equipment to confirm performance and document the problem, repair work, parts used, and final test results.
  • Provide technical support by phone or email and coordinate with sales and applications staff on customer issues; escape complex problems to Engineering.
Quality Control
  • Perform assigned incoming, in‑process, and final inspections and functional tests against drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
  • Record inspection and test results, identify nonconforming material or equipment, and follow established hold and disposition procedures.
  • Help investigate recurring failures and customer returns, identify root causes, and support corrective actions with QC, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Check that inspection and test equipment is suitable for use and within its calibration requirements; report damaged or out‑of‑calibration equipment.
Manufacturing Support
  • Assist with equipment assembly, wiring, setup, and testing as assigned and within demonstrated qualifications.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve technical issues.
  • Help improve work instructions, test procedures, and repair methods to reduce errors and repeat problems.
Senior Technician Expectations
  • Serve as a technical resource and help train less experienced technicians in troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and documentation.
  • Manage assigned work, communicate progress and delays, and raise competing priorities with the reporting manager.
  • Follow safety procedures, maintain an organized work area, and handle equipment and customer property carefully.
  • Work within established quality authority. Obtain any required independent verification of personally repaired or assembled equipment before release.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of relevant experience in industrial equipment service, electromechanical troubleshooting, electronics repair, or manufacturing test.
  • Technical school training, an associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
  • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment, along with common hand tools and inspection instruments.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accurate testing and documentation.
  • Clear communication skills and a professional approach to working with customers and colleagues.
  • Comfort using computers to maintain service, inspection, and production records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ultrasonic equipment, industrial power electronics, or automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with quality systems, nonconformance reporting, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience with soldering, electronic component diagnosis, and repair.
  • Experience training technicians and using an ERP system such as Infor SyteLine.
Working Conditions

Work is performed on‑site in service, inspection, and manufacturing areas and includes bench work, equipment handling, and use of tools and test instruments. Service and quality control are the primary responsibilities; manufacturing support is assigned according to workload and business needs.
