Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation seeks a Sr. Inspector-Electro/Mechanical to perform complex inspections, mentor junior inspectors, and ensure conformance of high‑voltage assemblies and test setups.

Responsibilities include leading FAIs, documenting results, and supporting quality improvements while maintaining ISO 9001/AS9100 records. A strong GD&T background and IPC certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of inspection experience.
• Strong GD&T, metrology, and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with CMM and high‑voltage assembly inspection.
• IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification required.
• ASQ CQI or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections using measurement tools and testing equipment.
• Read drawings and instructions to understand quality expectations.
• Verify in-process and final conformance on high-voltage assemblies.
• Lead First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 or equivalent.
• Document nonconformities and prepare inspection reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records per ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products; reject nonconforming items.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance quality.
• Train Inspectors I–II on inspection methods, procedures, and safety practices.
