Job summary

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services for offshore energy. The Sr. Electrician will assist Facilities by updating and maintaining electrical systems. Rotational on‑call for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

The role requires at least 2 years as a senior Electrician, NEC knowledge, lockout/tagout proficiency, and experience with motors & drives in an industrial setting. Strong safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as senior Electrician in construction or industrial environment.
• Verifiable senior industrial electrician/electrical certifications.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret the NEC.
• Proficient in lockout/tagout/energy isolation.
• Able to read electrical diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with AC & DC motors & drives.
• Experience with preventive maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Microsoft Office literacy.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, manages and upgrades existing electrical and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Researches and analyzes causes of failures; repairs, replaces and installs equipment.
• Responds to Facility Service Work Orders as assigned.
• Completes major repairs and in‑depth preventive maintenance across sites.
• Interprets compliance requirements and standardizes work.
• Identifies opportunities for process/system improvements and implements them.
• Takes and logs readings from critical equipment and takes corrective actions.
• Interprets blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Diagnoses building management/energy management systems for faults.
• Keeps tools and equipment in calibrated/adjusted state.
• Serves as primary technical resource in area of expertise.
• Rotational on‑call for nights, weekends and holidays.
