The Senior Electrician at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center supports the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of critical electrical infrastructure across the institution. The Senior Electrician plays a vital role in maintaining normal and emergency power systems, responding to service calls, and supporting facilities operations that directly impact patient care, research, and administrative functions.

The Senior Electrician works closely with other skilled crafts, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure electrical systems, alarms, and controls operate in compliance with institutional standards. The Facilities Electrician role requires strong technical expertise, responsiveness, and a commitment to service excellence.
Ideal candidate will be a licensed electrician with five+ years of experience in installations and repairs. Strong troubleshooting skills, able to read prints, and experienced with electrical controls. Solid knowledge of lighting systems, motor controls (starters, VFDs), and general electrical equipment (panels, switchgear, transformers). Familiarity with BAS, sensors, and basic computer use is a plus.
